Our Story
The beginnings
The story of KEMMBOO began in 2021, when I was pregnant for the first time and visiting my family in the USA. There, my sisters recommended bamboo baby rompers to me, as their own children were struggling with allergies and eczema. That’s when I first learned about the benefits of this unique fabric: bamboo is especially gentle on sensitive skin, breathable, and soothing. The moment I touched the incredibly soft material, I was amazed. Back in Germany, I was eager to find more bamboo clothing for my son. But I quickly realized that the options here were very limited. Inspired by the wish to share the love of bamboo baby products with other mothers, I set out on the journey to bring my vision of KEMMBOO to life here in Germany.
Our name
KEMMBOO stands for more than just a company name. The name symbolizes family – the core value and the inspiration behind everything we do. “KEMM” is formed from the German words Kinder (children), Eltern (parents), Mode (fashion) and the first letter of my last name Möhring. And what rhymes with bamboo? KEMMBOO!
Our goal is to provide children and especially babies with sensitive skin with exceptionally comfortable wear. At the same time, we want to support parents through high-quality materials and thoughtful design. That’s why our rompers are free from irritating tags, make diaper changes easier with practical cuts, and feature fold-over cuffs on hands and feet that offer extra protection and coziness. This way, babies enjoy gentle comfort – and parents benefit from calmer, more restful nights.
